The ‘I AM CARICOM’ Communications Campaign is being rolled out across the Community to promote the CARICOM Identity and Spirit of Community. The campaign seeks to achieve this objective by providing information to increase visibility, awareness and understanding of the Caribbean Community including its geography, institutions, governance structure, policies, and the benefits of the CARICOM Single Market and Economy (CSME). The campaign is also geared towards engaging all stakeholders, including the general public, to take ownership of the new Results-focused Caribbean Community (CARICOM) Strategic Plan 2020-2030.

The overarching campaign slogan ‘I AM CARICOM’ has been deliberately personalized. In this respect, the campaign aims to strengthen the CARICOM Identity and Spirit of Community by raising individual consciousness that CARICOM is about each citizen of the Caribbean Community.

While the ‘I AM CARICOM’ Campaign is a long-term communications strategy to engage citizens on an ongoing basis, all CARICOM Implementing Partners are invited to make a concerted effort to observe and celebrate CARICOM Day at national and Institutional levels each year during the week of 4 July. During the period 28 June to 9 July 2021, Member States are encouraged to undertake national activities that engage all citizens in a participatory manner, and simultaneously engender a jubilant Community Spirit across the Community.

The following are among an unexhaustive list of recommended activities and actions for Member States to undertake specifically during CARICOM Week and on CARICOM Day, as well as on an ongoing basis, to assist in creating awareness and strengthening the CARICOM Identity and Spirit of Community.
