The Right Honourable Dr. Denzil Douglas, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Federation of Saint Kitts and Nevis, was paid a courtesy visit by His Excellency Mohammed Methqal, Ambassador Director General of the Moroccan Agency for International Cooperation (AMCI).
This courtesy call was part of a regional tour to help strengthen the relations between Morocco and Saint Kitts and Nevis as well as other Caribbean States.
The Foreign Minister welcomed His Excellency and conveyed profound gratitude to the Kingdom of Morocco for their unwavering support to Saint Kitts and Nevis in the fields of agriculture, education, tourism and health; and expressed the dedication of the Government in further deepening cooperation in these fields as well as exploring other avenues.
Ambassador Methqal indicated how delighted he was to have the opportunity to visit Saint Kitts and Nevis and thanked the Minister for the kind hospitality that was displayed to him and his team during their visit. He confirmed that the Kingdom of Morocco is grateful to have the support of the Federation of Saint Kitts and Nevis in the global arena and looks forward for that continued support.
This visit precedes the signing of the new Road Map Cooperation between the Governments of Saint Kitts and Nevis and Morocco, scheduled to take place in the margins of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), to be held later this year in New York. Both representatives are eager to have this signed and implemented so as to ensure that their citizens can reap the benefits.
