The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is pleased to inform the general public of the availability of four (4) academic scholarships offered by the Government of India through the Commonwealth Scholarship Plan to study at universities in India. This season’s Plan for the 2021-2022 academic year will be responsible for tuition, stipend, contingent grant, house rent allowance/accommodation, thesis and dissertation expenses. The Plan will not cover airfare to or from India. It is very important that interested persons read guidelines carefully before applying for study at the Scholarship Plan’s portal at http://a2ascholarships.iccr.gov.in/assets/site/docs/Policy%20Guidelines.pdf.
Interested persons are also advised to visit the website of universities or Institutes (available on the ICCR portal) and do thorough research of courses offered, eligibility criteria and general information about each preferred university or institute before applying for admission. They should also note that this scholarship plan does not offer admission in areas of the Medical field nor in Fashion.
Applications should be filled at http://a2ascholarships.iccr.gov.in/home/register. In addition to a recent passport size photo (not more than 3.5 cm x 4.5 cm, i.e. 25kb) that should be uploaded on the application form, copies of all academic qualifications, certificates and mark sheets, a certificate of physical fitness, recommendations/character certificates from existing schools as required by the universities and a certified copy of the bio-data page of the applicant’s valid passport should be uploaded.
A printed and signed copy of the application form and copies of all other relevant documents should be submitted to the Human Resource Management Department no later than Friday, 9th April, 2021 for processing and onward transmission.
