European Union Ambassador pays Courtesy Call on the Minister of Foreign Affairs

Basseterre, Saint Kitts (24th March, 2023) – On Friday, 24th March, 2023, H.E. Malgorzata Wasilewska, Ambassador of the European Union, paid a courtesy call on the Right Honourable Dr. Denzil L. Douglas, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Saint Kitts and Nevis.

This was Her Excellency’s first visit to the Federation and she expressed her delight in having to meet with the Honourable Minister to discuss matters of mutual interest and avenues for cooperation.

The topics included renewable energy, digital transformation, water management, climate financing, scholarship opportunities, recycling of plastics, among others.

Her Excellency expressed the commitment of the European Union to continuously engage with Saint Kitts and Nevis in order to improve relations and better coordinate on projects.

The Honourable Minister conveyed his gratitude to Her Excellency for the assistance provided by the European Union over the years and looks forward to more opportunities where both parties can collaborate for the mutual benefit of all.
